Group Walks
We run organised group walks on a Monday at 1.30pm and Friday at 9.30am. Before setting off on the walk the dogs are left in the cars briefly so the owners can discuss the individual personalities of each dog on the walk. Some may get over excited around other dogs, others may be shy. From this we can then ensure the needs are met for each dog on the walk, and discover those that may need a bit more space from the other dogs.

All dogs are kept on lead for the duration of the walk.

The content of each walk will depend on the dogs who attend, but based around exercises in the Good Citizen Award program.

Examples are:
  • Practicing getting your dog to come back to you while the trainer keeps him safe on a long line.
  • Control while walking through a stile / gate.
  • Crossing the road safely with your dog under control.
  • Stays.
  • Discussing walking on a loose lead or other issues with our trainer while you walk.
  • Exercises to get your dog to focus on you rather than the other dogs / people.
We ask clients to email us to register for the group walks to ensure you read the safety guidelines and are put on the mailing list in case of last minute changes. Once registered you can just turn up and pay on the day for any future walks.
